A relief composition drawn for your room and sculpted by hand over a base cast in our own studio. About $100–130 per sq ft, installed, in four to six weeks — with up to five days of the sculptor's own hands in it.

What you actually get
A wall that starts as a drawing rather than as a grid. The composition is authored for your room, your light and the point people see it from, and it is not used again anywhere else.
- A sketch by hand first. Nothing is cast until the drawing is approved, and the drawing is made for your wall, not adapted from a catalog page.
- New master models where the design needs them. If the composition calls for a shape we do not have, we sculpt and mold it for this project.
- Hand-sculpted focal zones over a cast base. We are specific about this: the field is cast from originals we sculpted, and the parts that carry the wall — the focus, the transitions, the changing depth — are worked by hand on top.
- Up to five sculptor days. That is the real limit of this tier. It is what separates it from a semi-custom layout above it and from a fully hand-sculpted wall below the surface of the price list.
- A multi-layer finish, tinted in several passes so the relief holds shadow at every hour instead of flattening out at noon.
Who actually does the work
Vasilii Isakov. A professional sculptor with more than fifteen years in architectural relief — restoration and commissions from New York to Florida, in private residences, historic clubs and galleries.
Every custom wall is sculpted or personally supervised by him, from the first sketch to the last pass of finish on site. That is not a marketing arrangement; it is the reason this tier has a ceiling of five sculptor days, because those days are one person's.
Made in Jacksonville — not shipped from a catalog, not handed to a local contractor found for the week. Ask who will be holding the tools on your wall, and you get one name.
- The sketch comes from the sculptor's hand, and you see it before anything is made.

What the price includes
Every price we quote is installed and complete. There is no separate design fee, no separate mold fee and no separate installation fee.
- A measuring visit on site — free within 40 miles of Jacksonville — where we look at the wall, the light and what the room is used for.
- A hand sketch of the composition, and a visualization of it over a photo of your wall.
- New master models and molds made for your project where the design requires them.
- Casting in our Jacksonville studio.
- Hand sculpting of the focal zones — up to five sculptor days.
- A multi-layer tinted finish, matched to the room.
- Delivery, and installation by our own crew — three to five days on site.

What it does not include
Quoted separately, because they depend on your wall
- Removing old finishes, or leveling an uneven wall — $300–800
- Scaffolding, if the wall is over 10 ft — $400
- Ceiling installation — adds 30–50% to the installation labor
- Travel beyond 40 miles from Jacksonville — $150 per working day
A wall that is noticeably out of plane has to be prepared before relief goes on it. We will say so at the measure, in writing, rather than discover it on install day.
Work we do not take on at all
- Electrical, LED integration, outlets, relocating a TV bracket — we coordinate with your electrician, and we design around the fittings you already have.
- Cabinetry, shelving and media units. We will meet someone else's carpentry at the edge and coordinate the join, but we do not guarantee another maker's geometry.
- Painting the surrounding walls, ceilings, baseboard or trim.
- Showers, splash zones, exteriors, screened porches, garages and any wall with an active leak. Gypsum and standing water are a bad long-term match, and we would rather tell you now than warranty it later.
Price and timeline
$100–130 per sq ft, installed. Four to six weeks once the design is approved. Most custom walls land between $6,000 and $15,000 — the ceiling of this tier is five sculptor days, and the price follows the area under them.
Per square foot
Roughly twice the semi-custom rate, and the difference is entirely hand work and new molds. Same plaster, same crew, a composition that exists once.
Portal and hearth apron
The cheapest honest way into this tier. A small area carries a lot of hand work because everyone stands close to a fireplace.
The whole wall behind the bed
Relief that runs past the headboard corner to corner, with the density changing so the bed sits inside the composition rather than against it.
Sculpted ceiling field
The most rewarding surface in a house and the most demanding to install — ceiling work adds 30–50% to the install labor, and it is in the quote, not after it.
Full living or TV wall
At this size a repeated field starts to read as wallpaper. Hand work across the transitions is what keeps a large wall from looking printed.
Fully hand-sculpted wall
No repeating element anywhere in the composition, and ten to fifteen sculptor days in it. A different product, priced honestly as one.

Where this tier stops
Move up to a hand-sculpted wall when…
- The brief is "no repeating element anywhere in it". Here the field is cast and the focus is sculpted; there, nothing repeats at all — ten to fifteen sculptor days, from $15,000, at $240–430 per sq ft, in six to eight weeks.
- The design needs more than five sculptor days. We do not quietly spend the sixth and absorb it; we re-quote and tell you what changed.
- The wall is small but the budget is large — under about 60 sq ft with more than $15,000 behind it means you are paying for the hand, not the area, and you should get the hand.
- The brief is written by an architect or a designer as an art object rather than as a finish, or the space is public. That is a commission, and we quote it as one.
Go down to semi-custom when…
- The budget is the constraint. The honest move is less area, not a thinner version of the same idea: the same wall in our own pattern, laid out and cut to your dimensions, is roughly half the rate and two to three weeks instead of six.
- What you want is a wall that fits the room, not a wall nobody else has. Most rooms genuinely need the first one.
- You want one hand-made thing rather than a hand-made wall — a single sculpted focal element on a cast background is an add-on to a semi-custom wall at $800–1,500.

What makes a wall custom rather than semi-custom?
The composition is authored for your room and exists only there. It starts as a sketch by hand, not as a grid of modules, and where the drawing needs a shape we do not have, we make a new master model for it. Semi-custom arranges patterns that already exist; custom designs the wall first and works out how to cast it second.
Is it hand-sculpted, or is it cast?
Both, and we would rather be specific than sound impressive. The base is cast in our Jacksonville studio from originals we sculpted ourselves. The focal zones, the transitions and the changes in depth are worked by hand on top of it, so the composition does not repeat anywhere. How long does it take?
Four to six weeks once the design is approved, depending on scale — three to five days of that is installation on site. Sketching and revisions happen before the clock starts, because nothing is cast until you have approved the drawing.
